SUNY Oneonta freshman, Sabrina DeAngelis (East Meadow/Kellenberg Memorial), has been selected as the Pitcher of the Week by the SUNYAC and ECAC.  DeAngelis was dominant last week for the Red Dragons, who went 4-0 with doubleheader sweeps at SUNY Potsdam and Plattsburgh.  DeAngelis is being honored by both the SUNYAC and ECAC for a second time this spring.
 
In three starts last week, DeAngelis picked up three wins including two complete game shutouts.  In 15 innings, she allowed only three hits while striking out 14 batters.
 
DeAngelis is the ace of the Oneonta staff in only her first season with the Red Dragons.  She is currently 11-5 overall with a 1.92 ERA.  She has made 18 appearances with 16 starts and has recorded nine complete games.  She has pitched 98-1/3 innings and has allowed only 86 hits while striking out 84 batters.
 
Oneonta is currently 20-9 overall and in second place in the SUNYAC with their 10-3 record.  The 20 wins this season is the first time since 2010 that Oneonta has reached this plateau.  The Red Dragons have five conference games remaining and are in contention for the regular season title if they win out.  If the Red Dragons win the regular season they will host the SUNYAC tournament, which begins on Thursday, May 1.
