The SUNY Oneonta wrestling squad continued its busy schedule Saturday in quad meet action at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The Red and White went 1-2 on the day as they defeated Plymouth State 39-15 and fell 24-12 to Coast Guard and 27-18 to WPI.
 
Senior captain Chad Obzud (Cohoes/Lansingburgh) highlighted the day for the Red Dragons posting a 3-0 record, including a pair of pins. Obzud took a 9-6 decision over Coast Guard's Phil Azzari before pinning WPI's Joe Pizzuto in 1:39 and Plymouth State's Matt Moher in just 36 seconds.
 
Rookie James Bethel (Saugerties/Saugerties) added two more pins to his record pinning both his opponents in less than a minute. The freshman pinned WPI's Logan Mendelson in 55 seconds and Plymouth State's Zack Stewart in just 11 seconds.
 
Dominic DeGraba (Dallas, PA/Dallas), Mitchell Fisher (Canandaigua/Canandaigua Academy ), and Shaun Gillen (Bohemia/Connetquot) each posted 2-1 marks on the day. DeGraba picked up a 7-5 win over Coast Guard's Dominick Summer before pinning Plymouth State's Alex Otis in 15 seconds. Fisher picked up a pair of decisions while Gillen pinned Plymouth State's Trevor Wassel at 6:36 after earning an 8-4 decision over Coast Guard's Dan Fiorvanti.
 
The Red Dragons are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Ithaca College.
