Rochester, NY. The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team split a pair of matches today at RIT. The Red Dragons beat Penn Tech 48-12 but fell to Southern Maine 26-19. On the day James Bethel (Saugerties/Saugerties), Austin Sisco (Denville, NJ/Pope John) Ryan Marszal (Unadilla/Unatego) and Daniel Murphy (Poughkeepsie/Roy C. Ketcham) won both their matches.
 
In the first match against Southern Maine, Oneonta captured four wins including two via pinfall.  Sisco (133 lbs.) and Bethel (285 lbs.) recorded the pins while Murphy won by regular decision and Marszal won by a major decision.  Sisco's pin came at 4:29 and Bethel's came at 1:28.

In Oneonta win against Penn Tech, four of their wins came via pin and four came by way of forfeit.  The pins came from Murphy, Marszal, Austin Carr (Guilford/Bainbridge-Guilford) and Bethel.
 
The Red Dragons are back in action in the NCAA Regionals at Ithaca College February 24th.
